New Star Wars Caption Slide Style		New Look Website
May the Force be with you Star Wars Opening Sequence I have been asked recently if I could produce a slide style of the Star Wars opening sequence. To quote Aladdin's Genie, 'Your wish is my command'. It's a while since I've seen any of the Star Wars films, so I have had to work from memory, but I think I've got it fairly close. The new slide style has been set to the music of the original film sound track, so you should be able to sync it up without too much difficulty. It will be necessary to add a short blank slide at the start and you will have to slide the soundtrack backwards and forwards until it syncs up properly. But that's not difficult to do. You will find the new slide style in Titles & Captions. If you don't already have a Star Wars font to use with the Slide Style, you will find a good selection to download from 1001 Free Fonts. And yes, they are free. Please note: the music is not included with this effect but I'm sure you can download it from iTunes.		As this website is receiving thousands of hits from around the world, I thought it was only right that I should give it a bit of a facelift. I have tried to create a site that has a 'friendly' appearance and one which is easy to navigate. I decided to avoid the temptation to be 'arty', instead opting for a more practical layout. I hope you approve. It has taken a considerable amount of time to set up this new site and, sadly, it is costly to maintain. The site's increased popularity requires increased bandwidth which, unfortunately, comes at a price. It is for this reason that I have decided to offer some new styles (as style packs) at a token price, in an attempt to make the site financially self supporting. I will, of course, continue to provide free downloads and will add to the list just as I have done in the past. I hope you enjoy your visit to the New Look website and I hope you are able to offer your support by downloading some of the new Style Packs. Thank you for your interest in the site.

		On a serious note
		For many years now, my life has been profoundly affected by a most dreadful and inhumane disease. Caring for a loved one who suffers with Alzheimer's is heartbreaking. I am sure that most people are aware of the condition, but unless you have had first hand experience of caring for someone with the disease, it is not possible to understand the effects the illness has, not only on the sufferer but on those who provide the care. Alzheimer's is a wretched disease and one for which there is no known cure. There are, however, many wonderful people around this beautiful world of ours, working hard to find ways to prevent and cure this dreadful disease. I am not personally able to assist in this work, but I can help. And so can you. For every Style Pack sold from this website, I will donate a percentage to The Alzheimer's Research Trust. I might not be able to raise a huge amount of money, but every little helps. What's Next?

My plan for the immediate future is to take some time off. Over the past few months I have spent every spare moment working on this website and now I need a break. If you happen to pass by, you will probably see me working in my garden.

I have, however, already started to think about my next styles show. As with most of my shows, it will contain a variety of effects that you will be able to download as styles. At the present time I cannot give you any more details as the project is still in a very early stage.

Over the past few months, I have received several requests for tutorial videos - in the same format as my Image Extractions Video. I have been asked for videos explaining Layers and Keyframes.

I have already covered both of these subjects in the 'Help for new users' section of this site, but I would be quite happy to create a tutorial video, if there is enough interest. Let me know what you think.

But before I start on anything new, I still have the 'Show Templates' page to complete on this site. I decided to post the site without this section as I am already behind schedule and I didn't want to delay the launch any longer. I have not yet started work on the Show Templates page, so if you have any thoughts as to what should be included, I would welcome your ideas.
